Ethiopian Airlines has resumed operation in Dakar as it looks to consolidating its position as Africa's powerhouse airline.
Ethiopian Airlines started flying to Dakar, Senegal on March 26, Libreville, Gabon on March 28 and will start flying to Brussels on June 5.
Coutry Manager Ermejachew Regassa confirmed to Daily Monitor that it is because of the existing big market in those areas.
Regassa further said the routes that have already started operating would ensure that they give the best service to the people and more especially the business community that operates in those areas.
"We are pleased to resume operation between Entebbe and Dakar and it is because of the big market that we are starting to offer our excellent services and we believe that when we come into these markets it will be giving our clients a vast opportunity and a chance of choice to break monopoly," Regassa said.
Ethiopian Airlines resumes the Dakar route after a six-year suspension. This will fostera good bilateral relationship between Uganda and those countries.
