Thousands Of Angolans Stopover In Addis Ababa

29 March 2007

Addis Ababa (Angop) - Thousands of Angolans stopover every month in the Ethiopian capital en route to Dubai, Beijing (China), Thailand and Hong Kong, for business, informed the head of the consular sector of Angola in Ethiopia, Melo Ribeiro.

"Few Angolans head to Ethiopia for migratory objectives, but various compatriots stopover in transit to other regions of the globe, in search of business", Melo Ribeiro told ANGOP.

He informed that the large flow of Angolans who stop by in Addis Ababa justifies the increase in the number of Ethiopian Airlines` flights to Angola which, from one flight per week (previously) increased to three flights, at the moment, being a very competitive route for the company.
