Oracle gives software of a value of 160 million US dollar to Ethiopia

The American company of software, Oracle, made a gift of software in Ethiopia of a value of 160 million US dollar which will be distributed to the pupils through all the country.

The representative of the company, Ahmed Kello, affirmed in Addis-Abeba that the pupils can be useful themselves of the software within the framework of their studies.

The gift is intended to be used in the public educational establishments and the universities.

Kello affirmed that Ethiopia will be with measurement to produce a labour qualified in the very next years to come and the software should help the public administration to be more powerful.

The ambassador of the United States in Ethiopia, Donald Yamamoto, affirmed that with the increasing use of telecommunication and information technologies, Ethiopia will succeed in its combat against poverty and for the development in record time.

Yamamoto affirmed that countries as Japan succeeded in developing their economies thanks to the projection of their populations as regards use of TIC.
